📖Mini reading · The power of a red lipstick
Critics laughed. "Too bold," they said. "Women don't need red lips — they need practical clothes." But Colette didn't listen. She kept telling her clients: "The dress is the frame. You are the painting."
Twenty years later, her philosophy became the foundation of modern Parisian style. Today, fashion historians say she was far ahead of her time — she understood that a woman's wardrobe is not about following rules, but about expressing who she is. And a red lipstick? It's not a cosmetic — it's a decision.

We booked a charming boutique hotel near the Louvre. We had a beautiful room with a small balcony and a stunning view of the city. The hotel was not as expensive as we expected — about 120 euros per night, breakfast included.
Paris is the most beautiful city I have ever visited. We have already seen the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, Notre-Dame and Montmartre. My favourite place was Montmartre — it's so picturesque! We also went shopping on the Champs-Élysées. I bought a silk scarf and a small bottle of French perfume. Sophie bought an elegant handbag on sale.
Of course, we tried French cuisine. I have never eaten such delicious croissants before! My favourite restaurant was a tiny café near the river. The food was amazing, and the atmosphere was so cosy. I have taken hundreds of photos! But the best souvenir is my memories. Now I'm saving money for my next trip — I want to visit Italy next summer. If I save enough, I will travel to Rome and Venice. Travel is my biggest passion. I think every woman should see the world and feel like a star in a beautiful city!

Firstly, travel opens your eyes. When you see how other people live, what they eat, and what they value, your own life looks different.
Secondly, travel makes you braver. Getting lost in a foreign city, ordering food in a language you barely speak, asking a stranger for directions — each small challenge makes you stronger.
Finally, travel teaches you about yourself. Without your usual routine, you discover what truly matters to you.
In conclusion, travel is not a luxury — it's an education. Every trip adds something to your story. And you are the author.
